Minor upgrades involve any combination of the following:

  • Increase memory.  Price depends on existing configuration and motherboard
  • Install additional hard drive. Price depends on size and speed of required drive.
  • Replace processor.  Only applies to recent PCs, and options depend on current configuration.
  • Add or replace optical drive.  We can quote for CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RW and Combo drives.
  • Add or replace modem.  If you want to connect to the internet for the first time, or connect faster than your old modem allows, consider this option.
  • Add or replace graphics card.  Ideal for playing the latest games.
  • Replace monitor.  Upgrade to a larger, high resolution screen.
  • Replace keyboard.  Modern keyboards are inexpensive but can give your PC a whole new look and feel.
  • Replace mouse.  Consider optical mice that have no moving parts, or even cordless mice if you don't like wires.

Major upgrades involve reinstallation of the operating system and applications, and possible restoration of your data depending on your requirements.  You can select any combination of the following:

  • Upgrade case, motherboard, processor and memory.  This is the core of your PC, so this upgrade will totally transform its performance.
  • Upgrade primary hard drive.  Gives you more storage space and higher performance.
  • Upgrade operating system to latest version of Windows.  If you don't select this option you must be able to supply your old Windows CD and licence number.
